Jay Z and Beyoncé take the No. 1 spot on this year’s Billboard Power 100 — an annual list of the most influential people in the music industry. They are the first celebrities to ever claim the top spot on the list. The Power 100 issue, which hits newsstands Friday, features profile pieces and Q&A’s dedicated to these luminaries, which can also be found at the Power 100 hub on Billboard.com.

The honorees were celebrated at the Power 100 reception — an official GRAMMY week event – last night, Thursday, January 23rd at The Emerson Theatre in Hollywood. Notable guests included LeAnn Rimes and her husband  Eddie Cibrian. Attendees were treated to a performance by the women featured in the Oscar-nominated film “20 Feet to Stardom” — Judith Hill, Merry Clayton, Lisa Fischer, Tata Vega, and Darlene Love.
