A Picture (of Love) is Worth a Thousand Words

The words that pour through my pen often represent a concentrated overflow of all of the passion, pain and promise that I’ve experienced throughout my 30+ years on earth. And while I work through my ability to freely share all that I am, and all that I hope to become, I take solace in the fact that others have successfully achieved a level of openness that I too hope to discover.

My latest encounter with pure love occurred as I peered through my camera lens to photograph TV stars Toya Wright & Memphitz. The power of their love spoke louder than anything that I could ever hope to articulate in the written or verbal realms. So let's examine their love through some of my images, paired, with some of the world's most poignant expressions of love.

Love is always bestowed as a gift – freely, willingly, and without expectation. We don’t love to be loved; we love to love. ~ Leo Buscaglia

Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction. ~Antoine de Saint-Exupery

There’s nothing half so sweet in life as love’s young dream. ~ Thomas Moore

Love takes off masks that we fear we cannot live without, and know we cannot live within. ~James Baldwin
